The Ministry of Economy (SE) has published a preliminary draft of some further modifications to the rules and criteria of foreign trade. The draft states among other changes that the sectorial promotion program (PROSEC in Spanish) would be cancelled.

In November 2019, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry has published several new draft Quality Control Orders (QCOs). QCOs are issued by Indian regulators to introduce technical regulations such as mandatory certification requirements based on Indian standards.

Am 5. November fanden die Jahrestagungen der Deutsch-Chinesischen Arbeitsgruppe (AG) Produktsicherheit sowie der Deutsch-Chinesischen AG Arbeitsgruppe Akkreditierung und Konformitätsbewertung in Peking statt. Die Arbeitsgruppen sind Teil der Deutsch-Chinesischen Kooperation zur Qualitätsinfrastruktur zwischen dem Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) und dem Staatlichen Zentralamt für Marktregulierung (SAMR) / Staatlichen Amt für Zertifizierung und Akkreditierung (CNCA) der VR China.

Auf Einladung von Premierminister Narendra Modi ist Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel anlässlich der 5. Deutsch-Indischen Regierungskonsultationen vom 31. Oktober bis 1. November nach Indien gereist.

 

Government and industry representatives from Germany and India discussed their partnership in the automotive sector during the India Day at the International Automotive Exhibition (IAA) on 13 September 2019 in Frankfurt. Torge Wolters from the Global Project Quality Infrastructure (GPQI) gave a presentation on the recent study "Automotive and Component Trade with India: Insights on standards, homologation, and imports".

Indian and German experts discussed the role of standardisation and conformity assessment at a workshop in New Delhi on 18 June 2019. As part of the event, the Global Project Quality Infrastructure (GPQI) India introduced the Indo-German Standardisation Dialogue within the Working Group on Quality Infrastructure.
